THE DIVINE FEMININE

I like to capture the spirit, the strength, the passion and the mood of the models so I only draw at live model sessions. Compressed charcoal is my favorite medium and I layer it in shades of gray and add lines as I go forming a dance between lines and shapes.They are classical poses and can be considered a bit academic, however, I like to think that I convey the model's innermost being and to my great joy, most of them confess that I capture them as they would like to be portrayed.
